Terms of service — Thornwood Digital

The rules, in plain English.

Working with us should feel simple, and so should the fine print. These terms govern every Thornwood Digital project — read them, and if anything is unclear, just ask.

Effective July 3, 2026

01 — What we provide

Thornwood Digital provides custom website design and development, hosting, AI & automation work, SEO and Google Ads management, branding, and technology consulting. Every project's exact scope is written into a proposal before work begins — the proposal is the source of truth for what's included.

02 — Payments & refunds

Project payment is due within two (2) business days of sign-up. Payments are 50% refundable until you approve the design; after design sign-off, completed work is non-refundable. Projects include two (2) design revisions — additional rounds may be quoted separately. Hosting and care plans bill monthly per the plan you choose. Third-party costs (licenses, paid plugins, ad spend) are the client's responsibility.

03 — Scope & changes

The proposal defines the scope. Requests beyond it are welcome — they're simply quoted before we build them. Mid-project changes should be sent in writing so nothing gets lost, and may adjust the timeline or cost.

04 — What we need from you

Timely feedback, content, logos, and brand materials keep a project on schedule. When those arrive late, the timeline moves with them — we'll always tell you how.

05 — Ownership

Once your project is paid in full, everything created specifically for it — the design, the content, the site — is yours. No lock-in, ever. We retain rights to tools, code, and templates we built before your engagement, and we may showcase your project in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

06 — Hosting & availability

We take reliability seriously — every site we host is monitored around the clock — but no one can guarantee uninterrupted uptime, and we aren't responsible for outages caused by third-party services or events outside our control. We're also not liable for the performance or security of third-party plugins or tools you choose to run.

07 — Ending an engagement

You can end services any time with written notice; work completed after design sign-off is non-refundable. We reserve the right to end services if these terms are violated or a project can't move forward for lack of required materials.

08 — Liability

We don't guarantee specific business results — performance depends on markets, customers, and platforms outside anyone's control. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Thornwood Digital isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost profits or data), and clients agree to hold Thornwood Digital harmless from third-party claims arising from their website's content or use.

09 — Governing law & changes

These terms are governed by Utah law, with disputes handled in Utah courts. If the terms change, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. Questions? Call (801) 380-6854 or use the contact form — see also our privacy policy.
